Privacy Policy

Effective July 17, 2026
Spam Kathy · Dallas Fort Worth, Texas

This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can get it deleted. It covers spamkathy.com and the Spam Kathy call screening service.

We do not sell your data. We do not sell call recordings, phone numbers, transcripts, or contact information to anyone. Given what this product is, that would be an unusually poor look.

1. Who we are

Spam Kathy is a call screening service for businesses, based in Dallas Fort Worth, Texas. You can reach us at [email protected].

Spam Kathy shares common ownership with Mr. Pool Leak Repair, a Dallas Fort Worth service business. Kathy was built and first tested on that company's phone line. The two businesses are operated separately and do not share customer data.

2. What we collect

When you visit the website

  • Pages you view and how long you stay
  • Your approximate location, derived from your IP address
  • Your browser and device type
  • The ad, search, or link that brought you here, including any tracking parameters on the URL

When you fill in a form

  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • What you tell us about your business and your phone system
  • Whether you consented to receive text messages, and when

When you use the spam score estimator

The estimator runs entirely in your browser. We record that someone used it and which options were selected, so we can learn which kinds of businesses find it useful. We do not tie that to you personally unless you also fill in a form.

When Kathy screens your calls

  • Audio recordings and written transcripts of inbound calls
  • Calling numbers, call times, and call durations
  • Whether Kathy screened or passed each call, and why

Call recording is covered in detail in our Call Recording Notice.

When you pay us

Payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card. We never see or store your full card number.

3. Why we collect it

  • To run the service. Kathy cannot screen a call she cannot hear.
  • To contact you. If you fill in a form asking us to get in touch, we get in touch.
  • To improve Kathy. Call data tells us when she screened something she shouldn't have.
  • To measure our advertising. So we know which ads brought real businesses and which wasted money.
  • To meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use the Meta pixel on this website. It tells Meta that you visited, which pages you saw, and whether you filled in a form. Meta uses that to measure our ads and may use it for its own purposes under its own policies.

You can limit this through your browser settings, your Meta ad preferences, or a tracking blocker. The website works fine without it.

We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles beyond what is described here.

5. Who we share it with

We share data with companies that help us run the service, under contract, and only for that purpose:

  • Our voice AI provider, which powers Kathy and processes call audio
  • Our CRM provider, which stores contact records and form submissions
  • Our payment processor, which handles billing
  • Our hosting and infrastructure providers
  • Meta, for advertising measurement, as described above

We also disclose data when required by law, when responding to a valid legal request, or when necessary to protect someone's safety.

If the business is ever sold, customer data may transfer to the buyer. We would tell you before that happened.

6. How long we keep it

  • Call recordings and transcripts: 90 days
  • Contact records: for as long as you are a customer, and 24 months afterwards
  • Form submissions from people who never became customers: 24 months
  • Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires

7. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Send you a copy
  • Stop sending you marketing

Email [email protected]. We will respond within 45 days. We may need to verify who you are first.

Texas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and a growing list of other states give residents specific privacy rights. We apply the rights above to everyone rather than sorting people by state. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

8. Text messages

If you consented to text messages, reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. Message and data rates may apply. Frequency varies. Opting out of marketing texts does not stop transactional messages about a service you are actively using.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.

10. Children

This is a service for businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. If the change is significant, we will tell customers directly.
